OIL PAINTING FOR ART TEACHERS
Are you intimidated by teaching oil paint in your art classroom? Book this workshop to learn how to manage teaching oil painting lessons to your students. The class will cover three major color theory concepts – value, chroma, and hue – through a series of color mixing exercises. We will cover in depth safety, cleanup, and classroom management when using oil paint. All K-12 art teachers interested in learning how to manage oil painting lessons in their classrooms will benefit from this workshop.
PORTRAIT DRAWING FOR EDUCATORS
In this workshop designed specifically for educators, participants will learn advanced portrait drawing skills. Participants will learn how to set up and light a model using classical composition principles. Then, students will draw portraits from life by applying traditional block-in and shading techniques. Throughout the workshop, teachers will learn how to break each skill into lesson plans for use in home classrooms.
